Crash Game Strategy Guide

The honest guide to playing crash games more intelligently. Bankroll management, auto cash-out, the dual-bet method — and the hard truth about "guaranteed systems".

Honest caveat: No crash game strategy can overcome the house edge in the long run. Crash games have an RTP of 96.5–97%, meaning the casino always has an edge. This guide is about playing more intelligently and making your bankroll last longer — not guaranteeing wins.

1. Bankroll Management — The Foundation

Before you think about any specific tactic, you need a bankroll management system. This is the single most important factor in how long you play and how your sessions feel.

The 5% Rule

Never bet more than 5% of your total session bankroll on a single round. If you start a session with £50, your maximum bet per round is £2.50.

This means a single crash at 1x doesn't wipe out your session. You'll have enough rounds to ride out variance and potentially recover.

2. Auto Cash-Out — Remove Emotion

The auto cash-out feature lets you set a target multiplier before the round starts. When the multiplier hits that number, your bet is automatically cashed out — without you having to press anything.

This is valuable because the biggest mistake crash game players make is changing their decision mid-round. You set a 3x target, the multiplier hits 2.5x, you think "just a bit more" — and then it crashes at 2.7x.

When to use auto cash-out

  • When you have a clear target multiplier in mind before the round
  • When you want to stick to a consistent strategy without interference
  • When you're playing multiple rounds in quick succession
  • When you find yourself changing your mind mid-round too often

3. The Dual Bet Approach

Most crash games let you place two bets simultaneously. The dual bet approach uses this to run two different strategies at once:

Bet A — Safety Net

A smaller bet with a low auto cash-out (1.5x–2x). This bet wins frequently and helps cover your losses from Bet B.

Example: £2 at 1.5x auto = £3
Bet B — Upside Hunter

A separate bet with a higher target (5x–10x). This loses more often but wins big when it hits.

Example: £1 at 8x = £8

The dual bet approach reduces the sting of losses while keeping upside potential. It doesn't change the underlying mathematics, but it creates a more balanced session experience.

4. What Target Multiplier Should You Use?

Here's an honest breakdown of how frequently different multipliers occur in Aviator, based on its 97% RTP:

* Approximate figures based on stated RTP. Actual session results will vary significantly.

5. What NOT to Do

Don't use the Martingale system

Doubling your bet after every loss is the Martingale strategy. It sounds logical but it's dangerous — a run of 7 losses in a row turns a £1 starting bet into a £128 bet. Crash games can have many consecutive low multipliers.

Don't chase losses

If you lose three rounds in a row and increase your bet to 'win it back', you're chasing losses. This is the fastest way to empty your bankroll. Stick to your pre-planned stake.

Don't rely on 'patterns'

Crash games are Provably Fair and random. A run of low multipliers does not make a high multiplier more likely. Each round is independent. The game has no memory.

Don't play without a session limit

Decide before you start: how much can I afford to lose? When you hit that number, stop. Time limits also help — it's easy to lose track of how long you've been playing.

6. Responsible Gambling Tools

All UKGC-licensed casinos must provide responsible gambling tools. Use them — they're there to help you stay in control.
